Our little Cameron came into the world today at 6:49PM.
It was an easy labor for mom up until the pushing -- that was very difficult considering he was 11lbs and 8oz!
Mom and baby are doing well!
Pictures coming to web site soon!

New Look
I've updated the web site with a new look. Added more Java script and rollover capability for the pictures. I'll probably make some more updates in the future.
Please let me know if you like it, hate it, or are indifferent!
Thanks!

No baby yet!
Patty is now 5 days late now and still no baby nor is there any signs!
Hopefully we will have it this weekend while you all are out camping on this gorgeous weekend.
It looks like we will be camping in August with a 1 month old baby vs. a 2 month old.
We appreciate your thoughts and prayers!

Anyone know of a good Starcraft dealer
An online reader is looking for a Starcraft dealer....
Please send me e-mail if you have suggestions.
We opened our camper for the first time this year to only be disappointed that the mice got to it. Its a brand new starcraft. We only used it twice last year. Its an Orion. Do you know of any reputable service dealers in RI or MA?
We will have to repair the canvas over one of the beds. The screen and window over the sink and the screen on one bunk end.
We also have a trip planned for the 4th week. Do you think they will be able to fix it and how much does it approx. cost to do this??? Thank You for any help that you can be to us!!!!

Jayco 12SO Lift Problems
An online reader has the following problems with his popup. We did have some problems with our roof when we left the hinges on but nothing I can't think of happening normally....
Send me e-mail if you know a solution or have hints.
The reader writes....
My wife and I just purchased a 1999 Jayco 12SO last week. When we went to go check out the trailer, it lifted with no problems and when we brought it home, I also lifted it up with the crank with no problems. We packed up the trailer for a big trip this coming weekend, and when I was cranking the top down, I tried to lift it up a little to push some of the tenting material under the roof, but it stopped lifting and seemed to jam. I have put the top down all the way, thinking that was the problem, but it still jams after lifting the roof only about three inches. It stops making the clicking noise and it becomes extremely difficult to turn. (I don't want to break anything, so I haven't tried too hard, but it doesn't want to turn at all.) I tried to see if something was stuck to the roof, but I couldn't see anything and I even manually lifted the corners to see if they would all move, which they did. I don't know what to do. I have tried to contact the seller, but they haven't returned my call yet, but I was just wondering if I've done something wrong when I collapsed the trailer.
Please help! Has this happened to you? Did I do something wrong when I collasped the trailer (for the first time)? Thank you for your time and consderation.

Two New Reviews this week
Claire from MA and Rick sent me two new reviews.
Patty is due this week -- time is limited!!! These reviews take a bit of time to prepare but I hope to get them in to the page soon...
Here is a preview....
Greenfield State Park -- Greenfield NH
Claire writes:
The sites are wooded, fairly large and appeared to be quite level. Restrooms are well spaced and clean, although they could stand to vacuum up a few cobwebs. There was only one shower building but it had five shower stalls (meters, 1 quarter for 2 minutes), which could have been cleaner also, but could have been much worse.
The campground featured a lake with a day visitor beach and a separate camper's beach. The beach sloped gradually, so it was great for kids.
At night there was moderate noise from the main road, but probably the individual sites further back would have less.
-------------
Papoose Pond in Waterford, Maine
Rick writes:
The general manager of this campground was very detailed oreintated he is looking for new ideas and is looking at making the improvements that are needed. The staff was very good and freindly. The most impressive thing was that the sites were all raked and the trash was p-up every day at your site. When your looking to book your next trip think about going to papoose pond I don't think you will be disappointed.

Camping Security Tip...
Todd writes....
... I was reading your security tips and one came to mind immediately. Bring a whistle. It will not be difficult to draw attention to your campsite if you make some noise.
I'll be adding this to my tip page at some point ;->

Paws in the Park
Claire from MA writes the following. I will post this event to the front page soon...
I'd like to suggest Paws in the Park as a family event for you to post. It's a fundraiser for animal shelters in the area. It's like the Walk for Hunger where you get sponsors for walking your dog. Admission is $10, but is waived if you have pledges for the walk. Children under 12 are free. While not camping related, a lot of campers have dogs and their children would definitely enjoy seeing the dogs.
It's happening this Sunday, June 13, rain or shine at the Bedford VA Hospital grounds. All the pertinent details are on this page:
http://www.saveadog.org/paws2004.asp
There are also vendors, representatives from dog (and sometimes cat) rescue groups. There are agility events, a kids booth, and a parade of adoptable dogs.

Chase Gas Card
Ok... I hate Spam and advertisements but with these high gas prices I'm going to post this one on my blog.
I got an e-mail from Charlie (an old friend from my popup times days) stated that he saved quite a bit( 3% cash back) when purchasing gas with his Chase Gas credit card.
Check it out:
